In
Latin, "Diamante" means "diamond". In reality, it is just artificial
diamond
pretending to be premium. Like sister car Hyundai XG, Diamante has no
driver
appeal at all - bulky to handle, a lot of roll, lifeless steering,
mushy
brake pedal, understeer ... on the other hand, it can’t match Lexus or
Acura RL’s NVH suppression. The use of material and build quality are
also
below class standard. Styling is boring.
No
wonder it is struggling for survival in America and even fail to reach
the shore of Europe. Declining sales in Australia may eventually
terminate
its production there. GDI engines have arrived in Japan, but I doubt
the
possibility to adopt in overseas production. It’s better to wait for a
replacement.
