At
this moment, Opel Vectra is the top seller of its class in Europe, just
like its predecessor back in several years ago.
I always don't understand how it can has such achievement. In terms of handling, ride, styling and build quality, it is completely inferior to both Peugeot 406 and Ford Mondeo. In terms of space and comforts, it levels with the revised Mondeo but still cannot touch 406. The only aspect that Vectra won is engine - especially the 2.0 Ecotec unit is smoother and more eager than its rivals. According
to our own rating system, 406 and Mondeo are in the class of their own,
Vectra can barely belongs to the "second division" accompany with
Nissan
Primera, Renault Laguna and Citroen Xantia. However, GME won't care a
little
bit with our rating, they only care about the customers. Perhaps
because
of other supporting factors like servicing, equipment / price
combination
or dealers network, Vectra is by all means a sales winner.
