Concept Car of the Year I always have a
soft spot on the angular BMWs serving the 1970s and 1980s, such as the
first 6-Series E24 and the 3-Series E30. They looked truly unique, had
a strong sense of solidity, dynamics and practicality, i.e. elements
that are usually contradictory. BMW design has lost its mojo for too
long, but the Neue Klasse concept reignites our hope. Said to be
previewing the next generation electrified 3-Series, it is clearly
styled by someone who really understands what made the E24 and E30 etc.
so highly acclaimed. Let's hope the production car to look as good.
