Worst Car of the Year None of the
cars reviewed last year attained junk-grade rating, but among those
2-star scorers, this Opel plug-in hybrid is the first to come into
mind. Marketed as a sporty model, just as its GS badge suggested, its
dynamics is hopeless. Put it simply, it is not powerful enough yet it
weighs too much, so it is slow. Stellantis' PHEV powertrain is far from
seamless in operation. The brakes are weak for the weight they have to
deal with. And the Michelin energy saving tires offer poor grip. Maybe
Opel should have sold it as an economy car.
